Plaxico, my dog, is the destroyer of dog toys. My buddy Alun pointed me to this list of indestructible dog toys and I was sad to see that I had already purchased many of those toys and none have stood the test of time (time being more than 5 minutes). He also sent direct links to the two you see pictured and I decided to try them out.

So, let’s see how long these two $20 toys last! I will update this when they are destroyed - he got them today Sept 6 @ 6pm.

It really doesn’t get any better than this in my mind, at least as a fan of a football player in the NFL. Yeah, you may have never heard of Chris Cooley, as my lovely girlfriend Megan hadn’t, but he is a pretty funny guy and a hell of a football player. I know, because I’ve had him on one of my Fantasy Football teams for the past 3 years!

What’s make his blog great is that it is a real look into the life of a professional athlete. Those of us who are “weekend warriors” tend to always hold on to the dream in some shape or form, knowing that it won’t actually happen as we have nearly passed our physical prime and we don’t have any of our own ligaments left in our knees (thanks again mom/dad for the crappy ACL genes).

Cooley’s blog includes a 24+ hour countdown before the first game of the season (which is tonight), some memorable quotes from Redskins’ history, a YouTube clip of his personal Fantasy Football League Draft (Fred Smoot steals the show) and a ton of other great insight from the mind of a top tier NFL player.

I wish ‘Cooley CatchesRunsAndScores’ all the best of luck this year and hope he dominates souls!

What’s the deal? My rental of a Jean-Claude Van Damme classic “Cyborg” isn’t at a local DVD shipping center?? Of the 100’s of DVDs I’ve rented from Netflix, I’ve never had this issue… and I’ve rented some crappier movies I am sure!
